DAY 01 & 02

Overnight stay at Anamaduwa

Ayubowan Sri Lanka! Upon arriving in Sri Lanka you will get welcome gifts and many more from WALK IN LANKA Tours. That is the starting step of our kindness hospitality. In same time you will meet chauffer guide who shall take you whole tour by air conditioned vehicle.

After that we will transfer to the Anamaduwa. You will able spend day at leisure after check into hotel. Enjoy in Anamaduwa and thereafter take some rest after long journey.

Next Day, An early morning bird watching walks around the small lanes and paths surrounding The Mudhouse. They have already documented well over 100 species of birds at The Mudhouse and suspect there may be many more. A typical Bird Watching trip would start with an early morning cup of tea in your hut before gently strolling the lanes and paths. The various lakes are often hotspots for a flurry of colorful specimens, but it can be just exciting trying to catch a quick glimpse of the smaller species hiding in the forest cover. The walk tends to last for an hour or two, and we return for a shower followed by a hearty breakfast.

The Mudhouse has quality binoculars and many specialist bird books for you to identify all your sightings. Many birds can be spotted in and around the huts and they always keep a pair of binoculars in each hut for anything requiring closer inspection.

DAY 03 & 04

Overnight stay at Dambulla (Free One day Sri Lankan Traditional Lunch)

Check out after breakfast and proceed to Dambulla and check into hotel. Evening proceed on a village tour. It is an experience the real traditional Sri Lankan rural village style, consisting of Travel in a Bullock cart to a rural village through lush green paddy fields where you will be served tea and “juggery” along with lunch made to authentic Sri Lankan style. Traditional cooking methods, and a visit to a paddy field to see how the local farmers protect their crops from the wild animals, will be demonstrated. Finally proceed on a traditional canoe ride in a lake in Habarana.

Next Day,After breakfast visit Jathika Namal Uyana. The Jathika Namal Uyana in Sri Lanka is the largest ironwood forest and pink quartz mountain in Asia. 1005 hectares of Na (ironwood) forest and 72 other healing plants; massive pink quartz mountain, well known for its healing properties; largest plant fossil deposits in Sri Lanka; archaeological reserve with ruins of ancient monastery and palace; diverse wild life. According to the biologists the importance of the Namal Uyana is that it has 102 species of tropical plants of which 82 are herbal plants within 260 acres garden and the forest bordering it. 18 bird species and a number of mammals including elephant, leopard, monkey and deer also dwell in the park and its proximity.

Optional

Thereafter proceed to Minneriya on an exciting Jeep Safari. Minneriya National Park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. Some reports account number of elephants to as high as 700. Tourists visit Minneriya largely because of elephants, especially in dry season.

DAY 05

Overnight stay at Kandy

After breakfast proceed to Kandy. Stop at Matale and visit a spice garden. On arrival in Kandy do a city tour. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts center, a gem museum, a lapidary and Batik factory.

On completion return to hotel and spend day at leisure.

In evening visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter proceed to an auditorium and witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.

DAY 06 & 07

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya (Little England)

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. Our way will Knuckles Mountain range. The Knuckles Mountain range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resembles the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District. At higher elevations there is a series of isolated cloud forests, harboring a variety of flora and fauna, some of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Bird life abounds in this forest. Seventeen of the 23 endemic species of Sri Lanka birds are found here among the 128 species recorded so far in this area.

Also visit a Tea Factory and a Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world famous “Ceylon Tea” and to taste a pure un-blended cup of factory fresh tea.

Also pass by eye-catching views with waterfalls. Evening city tour of Nuwara Eliya including Victoria Park, Gregory Lake and Golf Course, the 119 year old club is situated within the city limits. Established in 1891, one of Asia’s finest Golf Club.

Next Day, after the breakfast we will proceed to Horton Plains and commence walking inside the Park. Horton plains national park is undoubtedly one of the world’s best nature reserves. The park is also home to a wide variety of flora and 24 species of mammal such as elk, deer, giant squirrel, wild boar, wild hare, porcupine and leopard. For bird enthusiasts, there 87 species (14 of which are endemic), including many migratory birds. The Plains also feature many interesting attractions such as ‘Bakers Falls’, ‘Chimmini Pool’ and the famous ‘World’s End’.

DAY 08 & 09

Overnight stay at Yala

After breakfast proceed to Yala. Here again you will be experiencing the concept that you witnessed in the natural Eco – Friendly concept. Arrival at the hotel and check in to the rooms and Rest of the day at leisure or explore around area.

Yala is popular for its Elephant and Leopard sightings catch a glimpse of these creatures roaming the wild.
Next day, after breakfasts proceed to Kumana National Park in Sri Lanka is renowned for its avifauna, particularly its large flocks of migratory waterfowl and wading birds. Evening proceed on an exciting Jeep safari in Yala. Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan Elephants and aquatic birds. It has also one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

DAY 10 & 11

Overnight stay at Deniyaya / Sinharaja

After breakfast proceed to a location close to the Sinharaja Rainforest (UNESCO World Heritage Site). A lowland rain forest alive with life. Bird watchers will find this to be a real treat.

Spend the evening at leisure after a strenuous drive from Yala.

Next day, after breakfast, embark on a guided walk in the Sinharaja Rainforest (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Listen to the chirping of birds and learn about the different species of birds, reptiles and amphibians found within this great Rain Forest.

End of Tour and Transfer to Airport

After breakfast enjoy free city tour of Colombo as you visit the various landmarks. Colombo is fast changing and developing to the modern city preserving the old charm to its splendor. Here visit the 100 years old clock tower, elegant historical building and many places like Pettah Bazaar, Buddhist Temple and Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall on your Colombo tour. Enjoy shopping in the colorful bazaars to take home lots of souvenirs, artifacts and Sri Lanka delights. Finally you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to the airport.
