DAY 02, 03 & 04
Overnight stay at Dambulla (Free One day Sri Lankan Traditional Lunch)Check out after breakfast and proceed to Dambulla and check into hotel. Evening proceed on a village tour. It is an experience the real traditional Sri Lankan rural village style, consisting of Travel in a Bullock cart to a rural village through lush green paddy fields where you will be served tea and “juggery” along with lunch made to authentic Sri Lankan style. Traditional cooking methods, and a visit to a paddy field to see how the local farmers protect their crops from the wild animals, will be demonstrated. Finally proceed on a traditional canoe ride in a lake in Habarana.
First Day, after breakfast visit Jathika Namal Uyana. The Jathika Namal Uyana in Sri Lanka is the largest ironwood forest and pink quartz mountain in Asia. 1005 hectares of Na (ironwood) forest and 72 other healing plants; massive pink quartz mountain, well known for its healing properties; largest plant fossil deposits in Sri Lanka; archaeological reserve with ruins of ancient monastery and palace; diverse wild life. According to the biologists the importance of the Namal Uyana is that it has 102 species of tropical plants of which 82 are herbal plants within 260 acres garden and the forest bordering it. 18 bird species and a number of mammals including elephant, leopard, monkey and deer also dwell in the park and its proximity.
After Second Day, after breakfast proceed to Kandalama. The 55 acre forest around the Kandalama Tank which, has a variety of trees, some 100 years or more in age, plus medicinal plants and a rich and varied bird life. Kandalama offers one of the best bird watching opportunities in the North Central Province. Nesting at the foot of Ereulagala (696m) and Dikkandahena (618m), the Kandalama tank is situated at the Northern end of the Knuckles mountain range and at the beginning point of the intermediate zone and the dry zone, the environs are very rich in bird life.
The diversity in habitat and the tank provides the visitors the opportunity to observe around the hotel more than 145 species, which is almost one third of the total number of bird life in Sri Lanka. This consist of arboreal, terrestrial and aquatic birds including 4 endemic birds namely Sri Lanka Spur fowl, Sri Lanka Jungle fowl, Sri Lanka Grey Horn-bill, and Brown-capped Babbler. One can also see many waders and raptors including Crested Serpent Eagle, white –bellied Sea Eagle, Little and Intermediate Egrets, Eurasian Open bill and Grey Heron. Rest of the day at Leisure
After Third Day, after breakfast proceed to Sigiriya and visit the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Here visit the 100 years old clock tower, elegant historical building and many places like Pettah Bazaar, Buddhist Temple and Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall on your Colombo tour. Enjoy shopping in the colorful bazaars to take home lots of souvenirs, artifacts and Sri Lanka delights. Finally you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to the airport.
