DAY 01 & 02

Overnight stay at Hunasgiriya / Kandy

Ayubowan Sri Lanka! Upon arriving in Sri Lanka you will get welcome gifts and many more from WALK IN LANKA Tours. That is the starting step of our kindness hospitality. In same time you will meet chauffer guide who shall take you whole tour by air conditioned vehicle.

After the arrival, First of all we will process to Kandy. En route visit the Elephant Orphanage. This orphanage was set up by the government to take care of baby elephants lost or abandoned in the wild.

Evening, we will arrange short city tour in Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts center, a gem museum, a lapidary and Batik factory.

Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter proceed to an auditorium and witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.

Next Day, after breakfast early morning we will process to take a leisurely drive into central Sri Lanka’s rich forests of Hunasgiriya. Relish the scenic journey as you pass the paddy fields of the low country ascending to the tea plantations and forests of Hunasgiriya.
Find yourself surrounded by rolling green hills and listen for the trickle of hidden waterfalls.

DAY 03 & 04

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya (Little England)

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. Our way will Knuckles Mountain range. The Knuckles Mountain range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resembles the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy District. At higher elevations there is a series of isolated cloud forests, harboring a variety of flora and fauna, some of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Bird life abounds in this forest. Seventeen of the 23 endemic species of Sri Lanka birds are found here among the 128 species recorded so far in this area.

Also visit a Tea Factory and a Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world famous “Ceylon Tea” and to taste a pure un-blended cup of factory fresh tea.

Also pass by eye-catching views with waterfalls. Evening city tour of Nuwara Eliya including Victoria Park, Gregory Lake and Golf Course, the 119 year old club is situated within the city limits. Established in 1891, one of Asia’s finest Golf Club.

Next Day, after the breakfast we will proceed to Horton Plains and commence walking inside the Park. Horton plains national park is undoubtedly one of the world’s best nature reserves. The park is also home to a wide variety of flora and 24 species of mammal such as elk, deer, giant squirrel, wild boar, wild hare, porcupine and leopard. For bird enthusiasts, there 87 species (14 of which are endemic), including many migratory birds. The Plains also feature many interesting attractions such as ‘Bakers Falls’, ‘Chimmini Pool’ and the famous ‘World’s End’.

DAY 05 & 06

Overnight stay at Ella (Free One day Sri Lankan Traditional Lunch)

After breakfast leave for Ella. En route, Surrounded by mountain ranges, shrub jungle, tea plantations and many important factors which make this route special. Spend day at leisure after check into hotel. You will feel very nice climate and view, so time to arrange BBQ Night.

Next Day, after breakfast does a small city tour in Ella. Ella is blessed with some of the most beautiful views, you could find in Sri Lanka. Only 8 km from Bandarawela, this small town is used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding countryside. Some of the places you could see in Ella are the Ella Gap, Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam’s Peak and Bambaragala Peak among the other many varied pleasant walks with stunning scenery. You can enjoy full day of adventure activities. Many adventure activities can be indulged in at the site such as Aerial Rope, Monkey rope, Slithering rope, Toddy tapping, etc…

DAY 07 & 08

Overnight stay at Adams Peak 

Begin climb at approximately 0200 hrs. Climb through the night in order to reach the summit by dawn to witness a once in a lifetime sunrise. (If not cloudy….!)

The pilgrim season for Adams peak is December to May. During this time thousands of pilgrims climb to the summit every night. The pathway is lit and the experience is a cultural treat.

Also this is very regional place of Buddhist people and if you are planning to visit you have keep out alcohol and other drugs. Also enters gate will not allow to you bring any plastic items as well. This place has very true magical power, so do not do any harmful things when you are on way. Because you have to go throw footsteps and staircase until top of Adams peak. It’s is very enjoyable and feeling full journey.

DAY 09

Overnight stay at Udawalawe

After breakfast conduct a morning safari at Udawalawe National Park. Surrounded by mountain ranges, the terrain of the park is a mixture of grassland, shrub jungle, wild teak plantations and two important factors which make this park special – the large Udawalewe Reservoir and the Walewe River, which ensure a supply of water for the fauna within.

With herds of elephants, wild buffalo, sambar deer and leopards, Uda Walawe National Park is the Sri Lankan national park that best rivals the savannah reserves of Africa.

DAY 11 + Free Colombo City Tour

End of Tour and Transfer to Airport

After breakfast enjoy free city tour of Colombo as you visit the various landmarks. Colombo is fast changing and developing to the modern city preserving the old charm to its splendor. Here visit the 100 years old clock tower, elegant historical building and many places like Pettah Bazaar, Buddhist Temple and Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall on your Colombo tour. Enjoy shopping in the colorful bazaars to take home lots of souvenirs, artifacts and Sri Lanka delights. Finally you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to the airport.
